Course On "Health and Risk Behaviour in Young People"

This course, offered jointly with the Special Preventive Programme of the Department of Health, highlights the hazards inherent in these activities and provides an integrated approach to help youth workers promote sexual health, and prevent substance abuse and HIV/sexually transmitted infections (STI) among people of this age group.

Speakers will include lecturers, clinicians, social workers and nurses. It will be particularly suitable for people like social workers, teachers and nurses, but will also be of general interest to others.

The fee is $1,500 per participant. The eight-session course, from 7 pm to 9 pm (Wednesday) will be started on September 4, 2002. It will be conducted mainly in Chinese and supplemented in English. The venue will be Room UC-5, 12/F, United Centre, 95 Queensway, Hong Kong.

The closing date for application is August 20, 2002.
