Recommended Principles of Antiretroviral Therapy in HIV Disease
With the rapid advancement of HIV medicine, certain principles of antiretroviral use have evolved. Scientific Committee on AIDS examined the availability of antiretroviral treatment, ancillary professional support, laboratory services as well as expertise in HIV disease management and recommended nine principles of antiretroviral therapy in HIV infection for the local medical practitioners. This paper served as an update to the consensus statements on antiretroviral therapy published in 1996 and 1998.
