HIV/AIDS and Women: a half day workshop to FHSC health personnel

This Workshop is designed for the nursing staff in Family Health Service. The aim is to update participants on the HIV/AIDS knowledge and to develop skills to identify the risk behaviour of their clients.

Objectives

At the end of the half day workshop, the participants will:-

  1. have an understanding on the HIV/AIDS knowledge
  2. be able to conduct a health talk on HIV/AIDS to women effectively using the teaching kit and other resource materials at A/N, F/P, P/N session
  3. be able to initiate discussion on HIV antibody testing for potential at risk individuals
  4. be confident to respond to the concern of their associates/colleagues

Format

The workshop would be delivered through lecture, demonstration and discussion.

Dates: Alternate afternoon on Tuesday from 2nd March 99.
